Our cottage has a kitchen which allows self catering. Many of our guests travel to the nearby fishing village "Fond St. Jean" to purchase freshly caught Atlantic fish, filleted to their specification. Maybe you prefere to sample local dishes in the nearby village GrandBay or try a vital Rastafarian ( vegetarien ) meal at home (only on special request!).
The "Hide-out" is located a few minutes from the Geneva main road, in the garden of a Swiss-Dominican Rastafarian family, nestled among many species of tropical fruit bearing trees. The Geneva-river runs 10 meters away from your doorsteps as it meanders through the valley on it’s way to the Atlantic Ocean which is only 10 minutes walk away. You’re left with the impression that you actually own a piece of Dominica’s 365 rivers. You may resist the temptation to dive in, but for how long?
At the "Hide-out" we contribute to environmental conservation through the use of solar energy and a wind turbine. As Rastafarians we want to protect the earth and live healthy, so we do Organic Farming and Eco Tourism. Enjoy and respect nature at it’s best!
